One of the most special Saperavi wines I have had the pleasure of trying for several years. This wine was made from Saperavi grapes grown on the left bank of the Alazani River in vineyards planted along one of its tributaries, the Chelti. Very light morello-cherry-red in colour and medium-bodied. The bouquet is primarily made up of the aromas of dried plums and blackberry jam. A graceful, deep, and serious wine, whose complete taste will remain with you for a long time. Incredible finish.

The Stones and Blue Fruit of the 2007 Chelti, Saperavi
The nose is light with earth, stones, and blue fruit. In the mouth, the tight stoney, blue fruit is steely with acidity eventually becoming blacker in flavor. The tighter, stone fruit mixes with watering acidity, and some drying tannins. There is a certain lightness and contemporary style to the wine.
